This past weekend the Krugersdorp Show was in full swing and on Saturday afternoon my youngest sister, mother and I went to have a look around. All that was to be seen was the same as what could be seen at the event the years before. We were only there for an hour or so, had a look at the stalls and had a something for a snack. I bought a pair of sunglasses, some cotton candy and a beautiful hair clip that broke when I was unclipping it to put it in my hair, so that was disappointing but I guess that you get what you pay for.

The Krugersdorp Show was held at Bob van Reenen Stadium which is down the road from where I live, the same venue as it has been for some years. This year was probably the last time it will be held at that venue as the Kaizer Chiefs‘ Amakhosi Stadium will emerge from the rubble that Bob van Reenen Stadium will have become in some time. It is said that Amakhosi Stadium will be a world class facility that will not only cater for various sport activities but a hotel will be built at the venue which may come in handy as it could be used for some of the games in the 2010 World Cup.

Job opportunities will be created and benefit most of the people in this area, which I think is a really good thing but knowing that the stadium will have a seating capacity of 55 000 just makes my head hurt thinking about how much noise there will be.

I’ve been having problems with my teeth as they’ve become really sensitive lately; drinking cold water in this hot weather is really a pain. I cannot help but cringe and clench my teeth when trying to eat hot food and such. I have an appointment with the dentist in a couple of hours in regards to what I have just mentioned and also about my one wisdom tooth that is already crowning. My wisdom tooth hasn’t caused any pain yet and that is something that I am glad is not an issue right now with my sensitive teeth.

It’s almost six o’clock in the morning, I wish I could just go back to sleep and wake up a little later but if I do, I know that I won’t wake up in time for my appointment. If it wasn’t for Telkom and its stupid services like CallMore with its time restrictions, I would be sleeping right now but I’m not. So I’m off to have a cold shower and get ready for my appointment.
