I have been a bad girl. Leanne should give me a good, hard smack on the head for this! Last Wednesday marked a week since I had quit smoking and also the day that I started smoking again… I have to make the last cigarette I light up from what I have, the last and final one…

Saturday afternoon my mother, sisters, my older sister’s boyfriend and my niece along with my aunt and her children and I went all the way to Brakpan for my one of my cousin’s second birthday party. I could not believe my eyes when I saw my young cousin; she has grown so much since I had last seen her on Easter. Time has really passed by fast this year…

My brother came over for a visit when we got back home. We went out to a Christmas market at a school up the road where stringed lights covered the buildings and other decorations had been put up to create a little Christmas town. It looked wonderful and reminded me of how people overseas decorate the outside of their house and yard with lights and figurines for the festive season. It is not as common here as it is overseas but I know of a few places in my town that are decorated for Christmas…

I had taken some photos, I only kept several of the many photos that I had taken as most of them turned out to be blurry because I had my camera’s flash disabled and had also taken a video as we were leaving the event and on our way back home. I like to capture our good times on video, especially when those times are filled with comedy…

Our palisade fencing was completed on Saturday too. We now have a remote controlled gate with an intercom, lights and a side gate-like door. And not to forget the lights that the workmen setup along the sides of our driveway, it all looks good. Now we just have to take care of the wall dividing our property from the veld next door.
