There is Never Enough Time

Watch I assembledTo the right of this post is a photo of my latest craft; I haven’t made anything in a while…

I bought the watch face on my last visit to the Chinese flea market, AKA “China Mart” and bought the faux pearl beads a couple of months ago.

The watch face cost me R25, that’s alot less than what one would have to pay at an art and craft store. The beads cost me less than R30 for a long string; they’re faux pearl beads anyway.

I made this last Friday afternoon, the day before my niece’s baptism, just so I could add a little something to what I was wearing and because I was bored that Friday afternoon. I put each bead on a wire pin as I didn’t have any other wire, making three chains and attached them to the watch face. Nothing fancy but I like it.

A lot of things are going to be happening tomorrow. I’ll be meeting my fiancé’s parents for the first time and something else. Yeah, I’m moving out tomorrow, finally the day is really close! Anyway, I will blog again after tomorrow… Well actually, depending on when I can next get online that is. We might only have internet access by sometime in October, if not sooner.

I will be updating on Twitter often, so keep an eye on my Twitter page or subscribe to the RSS feed, if you’re into that sort of thing.

Oh, how will I survive without the internet?!

I have packed up all of the kitchen and decorative goods already and still have to pack up all my clothes and all my other stuff. So I have some more packing to do and I also have to iron the curtains that my fiancé and I bought last weekend for our bedroom, before I go to bed tonight.

So much to do, so little time!

Hospital Escape?

A man was limping down our street and as he was passing by our house, two nurses were running towards him. They were calling out to him and when the man turned around and saw that the nurses were after him, so he began to quicken his pace.

The nurses caught up to the man and were talking to him for a while… And then I don’t know what happened as my younger sister witnessed this earlier while she was on one of the balconies. She called me to have a look and told me about it; a little while after we had another look and the nurses were still with the man where we last saw them. We lost interest and continued with what we were doing.

We think the man escaped the hospital as he was heading away from its location. Who knows?

A little earlier my younger sister had called me over to the balcony to see something else, once again. There was a police car just with its lights flashing on the side of the entrance to our street. It was already dark so we could tell what was going on, all we could see were the police car’s lights flashing.

My mother arrived home from the shop less than thirty minutes ago and she told me there had been a big accident at the entrance of our street. She said that there is a man on the ground and three police cars… She also told me that there were no cars involved. She thinks it might have been a hit and run or something as she only saw police cars there when she drove past.

I asked my sisters if they wanted to walk with me to go and see what was going on but I now think that it was a good thing that we didn’t. I am way too curious.

Blog of The Moment

I had come across and am now following the blog of one of my blog readers since July, when she had first commented on my blog.

Bloggette.org is run by Dionne, AKA Saha; a young Hawaiian woman who has been blogging since 1998. Her blog entries range from her daily life, the lives of others and everything in between. Her website layouts are easy on the eyes and well organized.

Not only do I enjoy reading her blog, I also enjoy her photography.

Visit Saha at Bloggette.org and leave me some links to websites and blogs that you enjoy. I’d like to check them out as I’m often sitting here with nothing to do really, so share those links with me!
