Oh Christmas Tree…

Tomorrow is Christmas Eve; oh how time flew by…

Victor and I will be spending Christmas with my side of the family this year. I guess we will be spending next year’s with his family in Welkom. We’ll see.

This Christmas is going to be uncomfortable because Victor and I can’t afford to buy any gifts. I bought a little something for my youngest sisters when I was last at Hillfox; so they’ll obviously be getting something. Victor already got his gifts because he just couldn’t wait till Christmas for them. He got a Magic: The Gathering deck and a few booster packs that I ordered a while back and got them the other day.

My cousin that was studying in the USA and is back in South Africa where she will be continuing her studies. She kindly accepted several items that I purchased at Amazon on my behalf as Amazon doesn’t ship those items to my location… And would give them to me when she came back to South Africa, which she did. I still want to give her a little something when I can as a little “Thank You” gift; even though she insists that I don’t have to.

I took photos of my little Christmas trees the other day and wanted to share them. One tree is in the lounge and one is on top of the cookie tin that is on top of our small refrigerator. My mother gave me the one in the lounge, along with a reindeer plush toy to add to my little Christmas area.

Anyway, I hope that all my website visitors a merry and joyful Christmas this year. May you get some lovely gifts and have a good time!

Kairi Has A New Friend

Victor came back home yesterday afternoon. When we got home from my parents’ place (where I was at since the day before) I made lunch and we sat and talked. Yesterday afternoon was great and last night was nice as he cooked dinner and washed the dishes. He undercooked the rice and was a little upset because he wanted everything to be “perfect”. Nonetheless I was really impressed and dinner tasted really good anyway.

My early Christmas gift from VictorVictor even gave me an early Christmas gift; a Gothic fairy ornament. He told me that she’s a “friend” for Kairi. I really like this ornament. I just think that my Kairi is a better looking dragon than little Miss No-Name’s purple dragon, ha ha! Other than that, I like it a lot. I am thinking of naming her, Lily. Or something else; I’m still thinking about it. Right now she’s sitting on our bedside table but this is just temporary as I’m thinking of putting her somewhere else… I just don’t know where as of yet.

If We Cannot Be Clever, We Can Always Be Kind

So my plans for my act of kindness for today didn’t go go as I as planned. But I did send David a header graphic for his website. I didn’t spend too much time on it as I haven’t been on my computer much these past several days. It’s nothing grand but hopefully he’ll like it.

My mother had a busy day today, she had to attend a funeral, help my father out at the shop and come home every now and then to check on my younger sisters and cook. So when she was about to hang the wet laundry up to dry, I told her to leave it and get get herself ready as she was in the middle of doing so for funeral. So I picked up the basket and hung the wet laundry for her.

These may not be great Acts of Kindness but it’s not like they weren’t done from the heart. After all, what would an act of kindness be if it wasn’t from the heart.
