Dispatched, My Ass!

Several times today were Victor and I on the phone with Kalahari… After more than a few promises of being called back and R51 later was I informed that the orders that I had made using the e-voucher that I had received from my friend Mark, were canceled. This was because they could not verify his credit card. I told them that what they were telling me was bullshit as I had received a few e-vouchers from Mark before and had no problems…

This isn’t the first it’s happened. I’ve received an e-voucher from my friend David that was canceled too because his credit card could not be verified.

Maybe Kalahari has changed their payment gateway and cannot verify international credit cards anymore. Several months back there were no problems. I do not know what is it with Kalahari lately. Fuck knows… I mean, they didn’t even notify me about the orders being canceled.

So I spent the last couple of days with my head at the window, keeping an eye out for the delivery van for about, let’s say seventy percent of the time, for nothing… Stupid Kalahari for not notifying me at all!

Where The Fuck Is It?!

On Sunday I had received a Kalahari e-voucher as a late birthday gift from my Australian friend, Mark. So that night I ordered a PlayStation® 3 game; Folklore™ and a few DVDs, I was so excited because I was getting my first PlayStation® 3 game.

Kalahari dispatched the parcel on Monday and I was supposed to have received the game at my door yesterday between eight o’clock that morning to five o’clock that evening… But I didn’t receive it!

At the end of the day I was disappointed because I had always received my order on the set delivery date. Except for that one time when I wasn’t at home on the set delivery date but had gotten it the day after.

So I was expecting it to arrive today…

I continuously checked on the main entrance to our apartment building throughout the day, just as I did yesterday. Even whenever I heard someone shut their car door closed, I’d quickly make my way to the window to just to check if it was the delivery van. Victor had even called the company that provides the tracing for the parcels. He was put on hold and the line was dropped from company’s end; so Victor called back and asked if they could tell him when the parcel will be delivered as it is via their company. He was told that we would have to sort it out with Kalahari and not with them. So Victor called Kalahari and enquired about my parcel, only to have the call cut off as his airtime ran out before he was able to find out what was going on with the parcel.

I didn’t receive my parcel today either. I wonder why it hasn’t been delivered yet as after moving in here I had received my last order on its set delivery date, just like when I was still living with my parents.

And there’s no way I’m setting my orders delivery option for collection at the post office. Not after what happened with my last Amazon order.

Is it so hard to mail or deliver something to my apartment address? It’s either not completely stated on the item or the delivery guy… Well I don’t know what is up with the damn delivery service, yet!

Where the fuck is it?!

A Whip Made of Silk Can Still Do Harm

I’m not going to lie and say that I have been so busy that I haven’t had time for this website. Yes, I’ve been busy and I just haven’t really felt like posting a blog entry because I’ve been feeling off lately and was just not in the mood anyway. And this site isn’t listed really high on my priority list lately too.

So Victor’s new work still hasn’t called him in to work yet; some delay with the contract or whatever. It’s a good thing he’s applying at other companies because if this accounting firm is taking him for a ride… I don’t know about him but I’d be really pissed because they told him he has been accepted and will call him in to sign the contract when he starts there. We’ll see. Hopefully soon!

Almost a month ago I had ordered a couple things on Amazon with a couple gift certificates that I received for my birthday. The package was supposed to arrive here last Tuesday… But because I didn’t receive the notice for collection from the post office, I decided to go over there on Friday to find out what happened to my package. After having one of the post office officials check if my package was in their possession, I am told that the notification was in fact sent out. I complained that I didn’t receive it and handed over my identity document for verification, signed for my package and left.

The address on the package was correct but the address on the post office form was incomplete as it didn’t have my apartment number, only the building number and street name. So I’m wondering if the notification was slipped into the mailbox of the apartment corresponding with the building number. Fuck knows. I have concluded that some post office officials don’t have the ability to read and write the correct address. I mean, really, is it too complicated to just type out the exact address that is on the package?

If I didn’t go to the post office to find out where my package was, I would have never received it because after a certain amount of days after your notice is sent out and your package is not collected… The post office keeps it; and that’s not nice at all!

Tarot deck and book about tarotI bought a tarot deck and a book about learning tarot. I’ve always wanted to learn how to read tarot cards and now I can start learning, some time, I guess as it isn’t high on my priority list either. I like the tarot deck. The images are collages from artwork of the late Middle Ages and early Renaissance; the golden gilded edging of the cards just make them even more lovely to look at, I think.
