Christmas Wishes

Dear Santa Admirer,

I know this letter is late but please remember that I have been an extremely naughty good girl this year. Or at least I like to think so…

When you happen to drop by the night before Christmas, please consider placing at least one of these gifts next to my tiny Christmas tree. Obviously after you’ve helped yourself to the glass of full cream milk and freshly baked cookies that I baked, just for you!

Please consider giving me at least one of the gifts below for Christmas this year.

  • New computer By the sounds that my hard drive makes, I assume that it is going to blow up!
  • External hard drive New computer or not, this has become more of a “Need” than a “Want”. The two 40GB hard drives in my computer are just not cutting it. Oh and I have no DVD writer so I can’t back any of my junk stuff up on to DVDs.
  • Vodafone 3G HSDPA USB Modem I have never experienced an internet connection faster than a 56kbps dial-up!
  • Flickr Gift Account Being able to create more than three sets on Flickr would be nice.
  • Extended hosting period Keep my website online?
  • Money With money one can buy things!
  • Or something listed here?

As much as my little heart desires all these things, I know that I can’t have them all… Anything will more than do!

Loads of love,
Randi

EDIT: Santa’s seriously, really not real? What the fuck?! :P

It Is A New Year

Christmas day was alright. It could have been much better; some relatives seemed to not be in the mood to celebrate. Two of my cousins hardly ever spend time with family and when they do, they’re on their mobile phones mainly chatting up guys on MXit or excluding themselves from everything. Whether it be playing a game or just conversing with the rest of us… Oh well…

The one thing I hate about this past Christmas is that besides us, only my cousin who is studying in America gave gifts for my older sister, her boyfriend and my niece. My one aunt gave a gift for my niece. Some had asked about my sister as she was not at this side for Christmas but no one else even bothered to say anything about my sister, not even my niece. My niece had received many gifts from father’s family which makes our family seem like shit for not even thinking about my sister or niece…

Gifts I had received for ChristmasI had received several gifts for Christmas. I have almost spent all the money I had received. Besides buying clothing, shoes and cosmetics, I also bought a wooden desk and a folding chair for my room. I want to setup my computer in my room mainly because I have all my music on my computer and my hi-fi is broken beyond repair…

I have bought a cordless keyboard and mouse desktop set, new monitor and speakers. The desktop set should arrive some time this coming week if not Monday and the monitor and speakers should arrive this coming week too, maybe the next. I ordered the monitor and speakers last night and will be delivered in five workings days. Most of the products on Kalahari.net are cheaper than they are in a normal store, so I like that. I would like to purchase a webcam, DVD writer and TV tuner card next time, when I am able to do so.

My younger sisters and I have spent many days with two of our cousins since Christmas. We went to malls where we had done some shopping with money that we had received for Christmas, we went out for drinks and lunches… All in all, we just spent time together having fun…

I had my hair cut on Wednesday at Hair Inc. I kept it almost the same length, just had it layered front to back and feathered. I’m thinking of dying my hair but not sure what color, maybe the darkest brown again…

My older sister got engaged on the fourth! Exciting and not so exciting… My younger sisters and I are not going to be her bridesmaids because her fiancé’s cousin will be jealous… So my sister is going to have some of her friends as bridesmaids… Whatever makes her happy… She and her fiancé have not set a date yet but my sister told me that maybe they will get married some time early next year or so. I am just happy that my niece has parents that love each other and will hopefully always be together.

My youngest sister had her twelfth birthday yesterday and again we spent last night here at home with my cousins. My cousins slept over and we watched the television and played on their PlayStation® 2 that they had brought over. I like playing on that thing. My older sister said that she might buy one for my younger sisters and I. My youngest sister brags about getting one from our older sister, it is quite funny when she does so…

It is a new year. Last year passed by too fast. I need to work on resolutions this year, after I decide on some resolutions that is…

I hope that 2007 will awesome.

So Have a Merry Little Christmas…

It is Christmas day, well very early on Christmas day. It is almost one o’clock in the morning as I am writing this… My older sister, her boyfriend and I are waiting on my parents and younger sisters to arrive back home from midnight mass at church. When they get home, we will open the presents that we have received thus far, like every other year…

Tonight I had given my godmother the rosary that I had made her. She is so happy with it and absolutely loves it. I’m so glad that she does.

My older sister spent last night and the night before here with her boyfriend and she will be with her boyfriend’s side of the family later today. In several hours or so my parents, younger sisters and I will be heading to my grandfather’s house for the traditional family get together. There will be good Portuguese food, fun with my cousins and presents of course.

On Saturday night we had my one uncle, aunt and cousin’s here for dinner. These relatives of mine had never at least said “Happy Birthday” to my sisters and I for years… When my aunt gave us each our present that night, she told us to open it and so we did… It was a little Christmas gift back with an envelope inside, inside of the envelope was R500. I was curious at to why they gave us each so much money; usually from some relatives we would get R100 or R200 as a gift. So when I said thank you to my aunt, I asked her as to why they had given so much and she told my sisters and I it was to make up for the “missed” birthdays… I wonder why it had taken many years to realize that they had “forgotten” our birthdays…

Lunch at my grandfather's houseMy younger sisters, two of our cousins and I went over to my grandfather’s house and cleaned it up. My cousin (who is home for Christmas) decided to move some furniture around to give the house a change. I think my grandfather will not be impressed, furniture has been moved around and I am sure would prefer everything to just stay as it were… Oh well, change is good I guess… When we took a break for lunch, we locked up the house, got into my cousin’s car and headed off to buy some food. We went to three different places to buy our lunch. We first went to buy some chicken at KFC, bought some chips from Steers and bought some ice cream, microwave popcorn, pretzels, butter and bread rolls from Spar…We stayed till about eleven o’clock that night playing Uno and watching DVDs. We had lots of fun while cleaning up the place and we might be sleeping over at my grandfather’s house tonight, my younger sisters, two cousins and I, it will be fun.

100 Strokes of the Brush Before Bed by Melissa PChristmas card from CindaI have received two Christmas gifts from people online. My online friend, Ryan had sent me an e-voucher and Crowe* sent me a book that I had on my wish list, 100 Strokes of the Brush Before Bed by Melissa P. It was delivered to me on Saturday morning, I have not started reading it yet. Thank you Crowe* for my Christmas gift. And Ryan, thank you for the e-voucher… I had also received a Christmas card from Cinda and have another from Stephen on the way. I feel all special and Christmas-sy…

I hope that everyone has a good and safe Christmas this year.
