‘Cause I’m Just a Little Girl You See

My most recent Kalahari.net purchasesMy most recent Kalahari.net purchases were delivered on Friday afternoon… So besides a few DVDs, I also purchased my first PlayStation® 2 game; Rayman: Raving Rabbids. Sure it is a children’s game but I bought it because every other game I wanted to buy was out of stock and I happen to like little evil bunnies. The game is also PlayStation® 3 compatible, so when Victor and I are living together and I have the urge to play this game, I can do so on his PlayStation® 3. Anyway, I played it for about half an hour and then handed it to my youngest sister to play. She seems to like the game; she sat in the lounge playing till late the other night…

Thanks to Master* for helping me out with buying the game!

Things I bought from the Chinese flea marketcVictor and I headed out to the Chinese mart around seven o’clock on Saturday morning and got there around eight. Hardly any stalls were open when we first went to have a walk about so we went back to the car and Victor taught me how to play Magic: The Gathering. When there was more people showing up we got out and had a look at the stalls and did some slight shopping. I bought some beads, a cross pendant and pins to make a rosary, a few cute notebooks and I also bought a pack of really nice navy and silver gift bags…

After we had looked around and bought what we wanted, we had sweet and sour prawns with rice for lunch at one of the small Chinese restaurants there. We were served with peanuts while our lunch was being prepared, Victor was using chopsticks and I wanted to try… I thought I would make such a mess if I even tried but I didn’t make any sort of mess… Well, I did drop one or two peanuts but I’m quite impressed with myself as this was the first time I ate with chopsticks!

After lunch we headed off to Westgate and on the way there an old man overtook a taxi… As we got to the robot the taxi had pulled the front of the taxi in front of the old man’s car and was waving a wheel spanner while shouting at the old man, shouting “Voetsek” and threatening him… As the light turned green, everyone drove off as if nothing happened… When I saw the taxi driver waving that wheel spanner, I thought he was going to throw it at the old man’s car or something.

Taxi drivers… Just another reason as to why I hate this country… They act as if they own the road, driving the way they want and doing what they want on the road…

My MTG deck and cardsAt Westgate I bought The Guardian on DVD, I have yet to watch this movie; I bought it because my younger sister said it was a good movie… I also bought a MTG deck along with a couple booster packs from BT Games. Apparently these cards are hard to find here… I used to have some MTG cards when I was younger but I don’t know what happened to them, I must have given them away or something. Back then they weren’t hard to find as it is today. I like MTG, mainly because of some of the artworks on the cards and playing the game is a little fun.

On Sunday we went back to Westgate to exchange a DVD Victor bought the day before because it was skipping when we played it… But Victor couldn’t find the receipt so we went to BT Games and bought ourselves a few MTG booster packs then had some lunch before heading to his place. The rest of the day was filled with playing MTG, surfing the web and laziness…

I’m running out of disk space on my PC; I need to sort this out…

Insert Witty Title Here

The package containing the items that I had purchased recently arrived last week. I now have a new webcam, a Logitech QuickCam® Pro 5000. Its image quality is way better than my old AIM webcam and my father’s old Logitech webcam combined. Even though I have hardly used my new webcam, I am in love with it. I had also purchased three DVDs; The Corpse Bride (I really want to get The Nightmare Before Christmas on DVD too), Queen of the Damned and Sin City

After watching Sin City I now wonder why I had even purchased it… I had not seen it before and I know that I had bought it just because of that and thought that I would maybe enjoy it… Wrong! My younger sister seemed to have enjoyed it though as she wanted to watch it a second time. I told her that she could have the DVD but she did not want it, she wants Step Up instead…

I bought The Sims 2 Seasons expansion pack too. I still have not gotten to play The Sims 2 on my father’s PC yet… My younger sisters have been hogging it and I honestly do not feel like playing it when it lags so badly. I think my father’s PC may need some more RAM and more disk space… I do not know… My sisters whine when the game lags and they actually pray for it not too. It is kind of annoying when they go on and on about it lagging. I think I will rather play when it is running smoothly, someday…

I had also bought a cookbook, Cupcakes! And on Friday night I had made delicious choc chip cupcakes that my family loved, especially my father. They turned out very moist and spongy and I had thought that they were undercooked when I had tasted a piece. I had done the touch and toothpick test before taking them out of the oven and my mother had assured me that they were in fact properly cooked. I guess that it had been too long since I had such a cupcake…

Crowe* had recently bought me a cookbook by the same author, Big Fat Cookies. It should be delivered soon, I hope… I can not wait to start baking some delicious large cookies! I plan on making a batch of a chocolate chip version of chocolate covered hi-hats on Tuesday night for Wednesday; I am dying to try this combination of cupcakes.

I helped Victor move in to his new place yesterday; he now lives practically up the road from me. This morning he and I went to collect his PC and some other of his belongings in Pretoria, went out for lunch and then went to his place for a little while before heading back to my place. I am really happy that he is living closer, he is happy and I am glad that he does not have to drive far during the night to get back home after visiting me, anything could happen… I worry too much about him…
