Numb Is The New Deep

I finally received the rest of the items I had purchased on Amazon.com; two sets of black noodle bowls and a little tin of lip balm. The bowls match the crockery that we had purchased recently; they’re black and have the same matte finish. I think that these would look really nice with the stainless steel chopsticks that I had also purchased on Amazon.com Oh and the Burt’s Bees lip balm is good!

I’ll be sending out Stinky’s “Thank You” package sometime soon because I wouldn’t have been able to receive these items without his help. Thanks again, Stinky!

Victor and I have filled out and faxed the lease and application today for the apartment that we’re interested in renting. Now we just have to wait for a call to find out if our application had been approved or not. I really hope that our application is approved because the apartment is one of many apartments of a new development and is really nice. I can’t wait to hear the news in regards to our application… The sooner the better!

I’ve been feeling a little weird; numb and emotionally drained in some way. I maybe excited about moving out and everything but I’m really filled up with mixed emotions and don’t know what I’m feeling or what to feel… On one hand I’m anxious about moving out and on the other I’m scared and worried. I won’t have my parents to rely on and won’t have my younger sisters around to pester everyday… I’m not sure how I exactly feel right now; I hate feeling like this…

It’s overcast today; all gray and dull outside… I think my mood has been somewhat matched with the weather today.

So Not Ready

Victor and I should have our apartment secured sometime this week. I think that the apartment is really nice… Two bedrooms, two bathrooms and an open plan kitchen and lounge with a very small balcony. The rooms are spacious and the kitchen is really cute, I like it. I can’t wait till we move in, which should be sometime in August!

I purchased sixteen pieces of black crockery recently; coffee mugs, bowls, dinner plates and side plates… I plan on buying some white pieces in the future so that we can mix and match the pieces. On Saturday I purchased three stainless steel covered glass canisters from Clicks and saw matching spice jars at Ackermans so I purchased those too… And today I saw some at different store that are the same size as the spice jars but are shakers, so I purchased a couple of those just to add to my little collection for my future kitchen. I also bought a couple of white melamine mixing bowls from Clicks and still need to buy lots more stuff…

I had been collecting goods for when I move out for a while now… It started maybe about a year ago; buying a couple of things every month and packing them into a box in my cupboard… Just for when I move out. That will be next month and Victor and I don’t even have everything we need!

Gift from Mouse*I received another gift via my wish list at Fetish Factory… I went to collect it from the post office Friday afternoon… This gift consisted of three pairs of arm warmers, a really cute key chain and a set of five pink and black skull magnets. The magnets seemed to look much bigger on the website, they’re small, really small but really cute! These will be sitting on my fridge when I move out… Until then, they’ll be on my bathroom door’s frame. Thank you, Mouse*!

The package containing the items that I had purchased recently arrived last week. I now have a new webcam, a Logitech QuickCam® Pro 5000. Its image quality is way better than my old AIM webcam and my father’s old Logitech webcam combined. Even though I have hardly used my new webcam, I am in love with it. I had also purchased three DVDs; The Corpse Bride (I really want to get The Nightmare Before Christmas on DVD too), Queen of the Damned and Sin City

After watching Sin City I now wonder why I had even purchased it… I had not seen it before and I know that I had bought it just because of that and thought that I would maybe enjoy it… Wrong! My younger sister seemed to have enjoyed it though as she wanted to watch it a second time. I told her that she could have the DVD but she did not want it, she wants Step Up instead…

I bought The Sims 2 Seasons expansion pack too. I still have not gotten to play The Sims 2 on my father’s PC yet… My younger sisters have been hogging it and I honestly do not feel like playing it when it lags so badly. I think my father’s PC may need some more RAM and more disk space… I do not know… My sisters whine when the game lags and they actually pray for it not too. It is kind of annoying when they go on and on about it lagging. I think I will rather play when it is running smoothly, someday…

I had also bought a cookbook, Cupcakes! And on Friday night I had made delicious choc chip cupcakes that my family loved, especially my father. They turned out very moist and spongy and I had thought that they were undercooked when I had tasted a piece. I had done the touch and toothpick test before taking them out of the oven and my mother had assured me that they were in fact properly cooked. I guess that it had been too long since I had such a cupcake…

Crowe* had recently bought me a cookbook by the same author, Big Fat Cookies. It should be delivered soon, I hope… I can not wait to start baking some delicious large cookies! I plan on making a batch of a chocolate chip version of chocolate covered hi-hats on Tuesday night for Wednesday; I am dying to try this combination of cupcakes.

I helped Victor move in to his new place yesterday; he now lives practically up the road from me. This morning he and I went to collect his PC and some other of his belongings in Pretoria, went out for lunch and then went to his place for a little while before heading back to my place. I am really happy that he is living closer, he is happy and I am glad that he does not have to drive far during the night to get back home after visiting me, anything could happen… I worry too much about him…
