The package containing the items that I had purchased recently arrived last week. I now have a new webcam, a Logitech QuickCam® Pro 5000. Its image quality is way better than my old AIM webcam and my father’s old Logitech webcam combined. Even though I have hardly used my new webcam, I am in love with it. I had also purchased three DVDs; The Corpse Bride (I really want to get The Nightmare Before Christmas on DVD too), Queen of the Damned and Sin City

After watching Sin City I now wonder why I had even purchased it… I had not seen it before and I know that I had bought it just because of that and thought that I would maybe enjoy it… Wrong! My younger sister seemed to have enjoyed it though as she wanted to watch it a second time. I told her that she could have the DVD but she did not want it, she wants Step Up instead…

I bought The Sims 2 Seasons expansion pack too. I still have not gotten to play The Sims 2 on my father’s PC yet… My younger sisters have been hogging it and I honestly do not feel like playing it when it lags so badly. I think my father’s PC may need some more RAM and more disk space… I do not know… My sisters whine when the game lags and they actually pray for it not too. It is kind of annoying when they go on and on about it lagging. I think I will rather play when it is running smoothly, someday…

I had also bought a cookbook, Cupcakes! And on Friday night I had made delicious choc chip cupcakes that my family loved, especially my father. They turned out very moist and spongy and I had thought that they were undercooked when I had tasted a piece. I had done the touch and toothpick test before taking them out of the oven and my mother had assured me that they were in fact properly cooked. I guess that it had been too long since I had such a cupcake…

Crowe* had recently bought me a cookbook by the same author, Big Fat Cookies. It should be delivered soon, I hope… I can not wait to start baking some delicious large cookies! I plan on making a batch of a chocolate chip version of chocolate covered hi-hats on Tuesday night for Wednesday; I am dying to try this combination of cupcakes.

I helped Victor move in to his new place yesterday; he now lives practically up the road from me. This morning he and I went to collect his PC and some other of his belongings in Pretoria, went out for lunch and then went to his place for a little while before heading back to my place. I am really happy that he is living closer, he is happy and I am glad that he does not have to drive far during the night to get back home after visiting me, anything could happen… I worry too much about him…

A Little Bit of This and That

I had a first meeting with two of Victor’s friends, Tania and Riaan at Monte Casino on Saturday. They both seem to have a great personality, Riaan is hilariously funny… At first I felt really shy and uncomfortable about meeting Tania and Riaan. Thinking that they would not like me and that I will seem too introverted; just that they would not like me at all… But apparently they do like me and that is a good thing…

I ordered some stuff off of Kalahari.net on Friday and I should be receiving my package by next Monday the latest. I ordered a book, a few DVDs and a webcam… I have spent too much money lately…

Recently I had bought the wired version of my cordless desktop… Just because I thought that I could use them when the batteries in my cordless desktop need to be recharged and I could not wait… I think that it is a lame reason; I have thought so since a couple days after I had purchased them and I have yet to use any of the hardware that I have bought. I am trying to get a way to have the telephone line for the Internet in my room. I also need to setup the network from there somehow as my father’s PC accesses the Internet through my PC…

My younger sisters have been nagging my father to purchase a graphics card for his PC so that we are able to play The Sims 2. Last night my father asked me to call a computer store to find out the pricing and availability of a compatible graphics card for his PC… I did so this morning and a while after when I was at my father’s place of work, he asked me how much the hardware was. I told him about a 256MB card and he then asked how much the 512MB card was… After I had told him, he gave me the amount of money for the 512MB card… I was surprised that he wanted to go for it as money is not of abundance lately…

Oh well, his money I guess… Anyway, I have setup The Sims 2 along with our expansion packs; NightLife, Pets and the Glamour Life Stuff pack. My younger will be lending her friend’s Open for Business expansion pack this week and after I have installed that, I will install our University expansion pack… I wish that my PC was able to run The Sims 2

I have not had a chance to play yet because my sisters have been busy playing it but the graphics look really good compared to how it looked on my father’s previous PC…
