Blog of The Moment

I had come across and am now following the blog of one of my blog readers since July, when she had first commented on my blog.

Bloggette.org is run by Dionne, AKA Saha; a young Hawaiian woman who has been blogging since 1998. Her blog entries range from her daily life, the lives of others and everything in between. Her website layouts are easy on the eyes and well organized.

Not only do I enjoy reading her blog, I also enjoy her photography.

Visit Saha at Bloggette.org and leave me some links to websites and blogs that you enjoy. I’d like to check them out as I’m often sitting here with nothing to do really, so share those links with me!

Life’s got one rule: Live it up

My youngest sister and I were playing Rayman: Raving Rabbids on Friday and I must admit that it is quite fun. My sister loves the “Shake your booty” tasks and I pretty much like most of the rest. The bunnies are cute, crazy and silly; they make me laugh and I like that. My other sister likes GTA: San Andreas so I ordered that last week from Kalahari.net for all of us to play… I ordered some DVDs too, so I should be receiving all that some time this week.

Items I purchased from Amazon.comOn Saturday morning I got a package containing some items I had purchased last month on Amazon.com; Candy Land and eight pairs of stainless steel chopsticksAmazon.com doesn’t ship anything but books, DVDs and music CDs to South Africa, so with Stinky’s help I was able to receive the items that I had purchased. Stinky received the items for me and then mailed them out to me… Next month I’ll be mailing him a little package containing some biltong and some other South African goodies a little gift for his help.

I’m worried if something is missing from the package though because it was resealed by the local post office authorities due to being “found open or damaged”… I should be receiving another package that Stinky mailed which contains the rest of the items I had purchased. I can’t wait to receive a notice for me to collect the remaining package!

I love shopping when I can actually afford to do so…

I’ve also been playing a bit of MTG: Online this past weekend; I won once out of the few games I played. It’s a little fun but after a while I get bored of it, close the application and move onto something else that will keep me busy…

I had to baby-sit my niece yesterday morning as she stayed over from the day before; she’s so adorable and also a little fussy at times… She’s turning one this Sunday! Time has surely flown by too fast, I can’t believe it!

Last night was fun as my younger sister, Victor and I played Candy Land a few times after playing a bit of Rayman: Raving Rabbids… We had lots of laughs; mainly because I was all anxious when playing Candy Land… I didn’t want to pick the peanut card and go all the way back which happened the first time we played. I was thinking, “Oh, please not the peanut card! I’d have to go all the way back! That can’t happen, I want to win!!!” whenever I had to pick a card, LOL! I get anxious for the most simple things sometimes, it’s funny!

What’s up with me and children’s games lately?

‘Cause I’m Just a Little Girl You See

My most recent Kalahari.net purchasesMy most recent Kalahari.net purchases were delivered on Friday afternoon… So besides a few DVDs, I also purchased my first PlayStation® 2 game; Rayman: Raving Rabbids. Sure it is a children’s game but I bought it because every other game I wanted to buy was out of stock and I happen to like little evil bunnies. The game is also PlayStation® 3 compatible, so when Victor and I are living together and I have the urge to play this game, I can do so on his PlayStation® 3. Anyway, I played it for about half an hour and then handed it to my youngest sister to play. She seems to like the game; she sat in the lounge playing till late the other night…

Thanks to Master* for helping me out with buying the game!

Things I bought from the Chinese flea marketcVictor and I headed out to the Chinese mart around seven o’clock on Saturday morning and got there around eight. Hardly any stalls were open when we first went to have a walk about so we went back to the car and Victor taught me how to play Magic: The Gathering. When there was more people showing up we got out and had a look at the stalls and did some slight shopping. I bought some beads, a cross pendant and pins to make a rosary, a few cute notebooks and I also bought a pack of really nice navy and silver gift bags…

After we had looked around and bought what we wanted, we had sweet and sour prawns with rice for lunch at one of the small Chinese restaurants there. We were served with peanuts while our lunch was being prepared, Victor was using chopsticks and I wanted to try… I thought I would make such a mess if I even tried but I didn’t make any sort of mess… Well, I did drop one or two peanuts but I’m quite impressed with myself as this was the first time I ate with chopsticks!

After lunch we headed off to Westgate and on the way there an old man overtook a taxi… As we got to the robot the taxi had pulled the front of the taxi in front of the old man’s car and was waving a wheel spanner while shouting at the old man, shouting “Voetsek” and threatening him… As the light turned green, everyone drove off as if nothing happened… When I saw the taxi driver waving that wheel spanner, I thought he was going to throw it at the old man’s car or something.

Taxi drivers… Just another reason as to why I hate this country… They act as if they own the road, driving the way they want and doing what they want on the road…

My MTG deck and cardsAt Westgate I bought The Guardian on DVD, I have yet to watch this movie; I bought it because my younger sister said it was a good movie… I also bought a MTG deck along with a couple booster packs from BT Games. Apparently these cards are hard to find here… I used to have some MTG cards when I was younger but I don’t know what happened to them, I must have given them away or something. Back then they weren’t hard to find as it is today. I like MTG, mainly because of some of the artworks on the cards and playing the game is a little fun.

On Sunday we went back to Westgate to exchange a DVD Victor bought the day before because it was skipping when we played it… But Victor couldn’t find the receipt so we went to BT Games and bought ourselves a few MTG booster packs then had some lunch before heading to his place. The rest of the day was filled with playing MTG, surfing the web and laziness…

I’m running out of disk space on my PC; I need to sort this out…
