There is Never Enough Time

Watch I assembledTo the right of this post is a photo of my latest craft; I haven’t made anything in a while…

I bought the watch face on my last visit to the Chinese flea market, AKA “China Mart” and bought the faux pearl beads a couple of months ago.

The watch face cost me R25, that’s alot less than what one would have to pay at an art and craft store. The beads cost me less than R30 for a long string; they’re faux pearl beads anyway.

I made this last Friday afternoon, the day before my niece’s baptism, just so I could add a little something to what I was wearing and because I was bored that Friday afternoon. I put each bead on a wire pin as I didn’t have any other wire, making three chains and attached them to the watch face. Nothing fancy but I like it.

A lot of things are going to be happening tomorrow. I’ll be meeting my fiancé’s parents for the first time and something else. Yeah, I’m moving out tomorrow, finally the day is really close! Anyway, I will blog again after tomorrow… Well actually, depending on when I can next get online that is. We might only have internet access by sometime in October, if not sooner.

I will be updating on Twitter often, so keep an eye on my Twitter page or subscribe to the RSS feed, if you’re into that sort of thing.

Oh, how will I survive without the internet?!

I have packed up all of the kitchen and decorative goods already and still have to pack up all my clothes and all my other stuff. So I have some more packing to do and I also have to iron the curtains that my fiancé and I bought last weekend for our bedroom, before I go to bed tonight.

So much to do, so little time!

Blog of The Moment

I had come across and am now following the blog of one of my blog readers since July, when she had first commented on my blog.

Bloggette.org is run by Dionne, AKA Saha; a young Hawaiian woman who has been blogging since 1998. Her blog entries range from her daily life, the lives of others and everything in between. Her website layouts are easy on the eyes and well organized.

Not only do I enjoy reading her blog, I also enjoy her photography.

Visit Saha at Bloggette.org and leave me some links to websites and blogs that you enjoy. I’d like to check them out as I’m often sitting here with nothing to do really, so share those links with me!

Oh Valentine’s

Gifts I received for Valentine's DayValentine’s day marked one month of my relationship with Victor. I hope that there will be many more good months to come in the future for us…

I really did not know what to buy for his Valentine’s gift… On Tuesday I went to the mall and had a look around, there were so many women in the stores doing their last minute Valentine’s shopping, I guess… Anyway I had bought Victor a black collar shirt, a pair of socks with a skull on them, a skull and spike wristband and chocolates. He liked his gift so I am glad about that…

My promise ringAgain when I opened the front door as he arrived, he gave me a beautiful bunch of red roses and a little gift bag. After placing the roses in a vase and setting it in my room, he handed me a very small gift bag. In that very small gift bag was a little silver box and inside of that was a ring. Victor told me it was a promise ring as I had opened it. I really like it; it is silver and has a large black stone in the middle, my favorite color… And it just fits!

I mainly like it so much because of the promise that was made to me when I had received it…

In the other small gift bag was a little stuffed toy, a “Love Bug”. It is cute.

Our day consisted of watching Underworld’s sequel, making out and eating ice cream sundaes at Milky Lane amongst other things…

All in all, it was a good day…
