Superfly With No Goodbye

This past weekend seemed to go by so fast! Victor and I had a braai at his place on Saturday to celebrate our six month anniversary. He made the fire and I cooked the meat; I ended up smelling like a braai myself! I like braais, especially in summer; meat off the braai with some potato salad and a cold glass of juice or soda… Oh, I am so craving those summer days!

I’ve been downloading content for The Sims 2 for my sisters and I as my father had upgraded his computer’s RAM; now the game runs smoothly instead of lagging like before. My sisters had been hogging it for days and I hadn’t had a chance to play until this morning while they were at school. I got bored a while after of making a family and starting with their house. I’ll finish it tomorrow maybe, if I’m in the mood…

I want to start making custom content for The Sims 2; clothes, bedding, recolors… I don’t know, I guess that I’ll see in time because my computer is a bitch. I’m running out of space on my hard drive so I have to sit down here and sort through my files and keep what I actually want and need. It’s really slow and I want to upgrade it when I can afford to so that I could have a game or two installed.

I’ve finally been able to download Harris Tweed’s song, Superfly. It’s my song of the moment and I’ve been listening to it way too much over the last forty eight hours… The lyrics “Superfly with no goodbye” is being played over and over in my head like a scratched record and it’s stuck like that. I can’t get that song out of my head! I have to buy their CD as soon as I can; not only because I like that song and that they sound great, but because they’re local too!

All Is Good, Said She

Victor is awesome. We have had three dates thus far and they have all been great. Saturday afternoon he came over to fetch me for our picnic, and as I was bout to sit in the car, on top of the passenger seat were a beautiful faux red rose and black hair piece. The faux rose is perfect, at first I had thought it was real but I am glad that it is not, it looks like the real thing and it will never die… He is Too sweet! Anyway, we had a picnic that included sipping on sweet sparkling red wine and eatingt delicious fresh strawberries with whipped cream…

After our picnic, we went to another park and after that we went to my brother’s place so I could introduce Victor to him. After our visit, we went back to my house but no one was home yet from church that night. So we went back to Key West and had a walk. My mom called for me to come home, so Victor took me back home. He joined me for dinner and then he, my sisters, mother and I sat in the lounge and watched the television till about eleven o’clock…

Victor and I have a date on Thursday. We should be going out with my brother and his boyfriend. Coffee, drinks or something… My brother suggested that we should all go out together on Thursday or Friday night…

I had received my new monitor last Wednesday. It was a mission to carry up stairs, it is heavy and I was practically walking like a duck trying to balance myself walking up the stairs in my long skirt. I would have asked the delivery guy to bring up stairs for me but that would have made me feel really uncomfortable… The speakers that I had ordered were not delivered because they were out of stock and I was reimbursed for that. I placed an order for a different set of speakers this passed weekend so I should hopefully getting the speakers soon…

Lately, I am really enjoying some of the music by Ratatat. Nick had sent me a small package which contained two CDs with mixed music, a Christmas card, a keychain and a pouch of strawberry flavored Pop Rocks. I love Pop Rocks and have not had them in many years so it was a real treat. I am going to send him a package in return; a South African keychain, biltong and some other things that I am unsure of as of yet…

My brother has asked me to be a model for an “up” hair style for his assignment for college. I should be at Hair Inc. in about an hour for this. I always help my brother with many things, I just wish he would do the same for me, have a little more time for me… I do not know…
